In 1519, five ships, led by Ferdinand de Magellan, set sail with the aim of exploring the Earth. After 3 years, the ship Victoria returned with 18 men. On board they had various barrels and spices. These spices inspired the production of Magellan Gin as we know it today. Magellan himself died on the ship during this voyage. Magellan The Original Blue Iris Flavored Gin is made from the following botanicals: Cloves, Iris Root, Flowers, Juniper Berries, Cinnamon, Cassis, Orange Peel, Coriander, Liquorice, Cardamon, Nutmeg and Grains of Paradise. A quadruple distillation completes the gin - it matures in small barrels. It gets its blue colour from a secret herbal ingredient.
