The Shinshu Distillery was founded in 1985 and is owned by Hombo Shuzo Group Ltd. The name "Cosmo" refers to one of the mountain peaks surrounding the distillery in the heart of the Japanese mountains at 798 meters altitude. The Mars Maltage COSMO Blended Malt Japanese Whisky is a blend of several Scottish malts, whereby the distilleries are kept secret.Tasting notes:Colour: gold with reddish accents. Nose: sweet, fruity, slightly smoky, notes of wood. Taste: Juicy, ripe fruit, sweet honey, caramel, notes of wood, spices, smoke. Finish: Long lasting, fruity.
