The founder of the Glendronach distillery was a pioneer in wine cask maturation. Until today, the distillery stores its malts in Spanish Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks from Andalusia. The bottling of the Cask Strength issues are bottled in different batches without dyes, as well as without cold filtration. Tasting notes:Colour: Dark bronze gold. Nose: Cherry brandy, chocolate, blackberries, figs, toffee. Taste: Ripe sultanas, oranges, toasted nutmeg. Finish: Long lasting, baked apples, plums, notes of chocolate, walnuts, cream.
