S.B.S stands for Single Barrel Selection. As the name suggests, in this product line of 1423 only one barrel is filled for each product. Each barrel is selected for the respective bottling under special criteria and offered with a limited number of bottles. The whole S.B.S series includes only classic rums, no blends, to express the versatility of rums as well as their unique quality and exquisite taste. The S.B.S Jamaica Rum is produced in a distillery in Jamaica. It matures for 8 years in an ex-Bourbon barrel afterwards the second maturation takes place in an ex-Brandy barrel; as usual with the S.B.S series no cooling filtration was used. Distilled: 2013 Bottled: October 2021 Limited to 859 bottles worldwide. Tasting notes:Colour: Rich gold. Nose: Complex, brown sugar, oak, sulphur, pastry. Taste: Smoky, pepper, salted caramel. Finish: Long lasting, floral.
