The A.H. Riise distillery is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became an American territory, it was a Danish colony. Around the 1840s, the pharmacist Albert Heinrich was not only allowed to open a pharmacy but also to produce alcohol. The A.H. Riise XO Reserve Port Cask is a blend of some of the best and oldest casks from the well-stocked cellars of A.H. Riise Spirits. It is a combination of rums from the best distilleries from the West Indies and Central America. This rum spirit drink is re-bottled in selected barrels in which classic port wine was stored.Tasting notes:Colour: Light gold. Nose: Vanilla, notes of pineapple, bananas, dried red fruits, port.
