The A.H. Riise distillery is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became an American territory, it was a Danish colony. Around the 1840s, the pharmacist Albert Heinrich was not only allowed to open a pharmacy, but also to produce alcohol. This spirit is a combination of carefully selected rums from the West Indies. The combination of old and younger cask varieties makes for an exceptional spirit with ideal effects. The designation "Superior Cask" promises great things, which is why only the very best A.H. Riise casks are used. To seal the extraordinary quality, this bottling is only produced in small editions. Tasting notes:Colour: Light gold. Nose: Light minty aromas, citrus, toffee, leather. Taste: Full-bodied, eucalyptus, plums, tarte tatin, tea, bergamot. Finish: Long lasting, leather, bergamot.
