'A'bunadh' is Gaelic and means something like 'from the original'. This single malt is meant to be a respectful toast to Aberlour founder James Fleming. Spanish sherry casks are selected for the maturation of this exquisite whisky, which are filled with a whisky for the first time. The flavors of the malt can develop excellently over the years. For the production of Aberlour Batch 75, only regional spring water from Ben Rinnes, a peak in Scotland, and barley from the surrounding area are used. The malt is bottled at 60.9% by volume, there is no cold filtration. Tasting notes:Color: Dark amber. Nose: Spicy, notes of sweet chocolates, oranges. Palate: Fruity of ripe cherries, aromas of ginger, dark chocolate. Finish: Long lasting, balanced, oak notes.
