The Antica Sambuca is produced in the distillery Rossi d'Asiago in Italy. The distillery has existed since 1968, it was founded by a young chemist named Giovan Battista Rossi. Rossi's recipe was revised and so the newly interpreted anise liqueur was launched in 2001. The natural distillate is refined with aniseed and 15 other spices and herbs. In the case of the Raspberry, raspberry flavouring is added. Tasting notes:Colour: Pink. Nose: Fruity, delicate. Taste: Anise, raspberries. Finish: Long lasting, sweetish, fruity. Sambuca is popular as a shot, on the rocks, in cocktails and mixed drinks. You can also use the liqueur to refine desserts.
