Vereinte Winzer Blaufränkischland is a cooperative which selects and purchases quality grapes from the Mittelburgenland region and processes them in its own wine cellar. For the winemakers who participate in this project, it brings many advantages. Although the high quality standards result in a significant additional effort for the winemakers, the cooperation with the cooperative is a win-win situation for both sides. The motto is therefore: "Mittelburgenland under one roof!" Arachon is always presented on September 1 - two years after harvest. Arachon comes from the Old Slavic-Alto-Slovenian language and was the name of the village of Horitschon in the Middle Ages, where the wine is at home. Awards: - 19/20 points from René Gabriel for the 2017 vintage. Tasting notes:Dark ruby garnet with violet reflections in the glass. In the nose noble wood notes, dark to black berries, cassis. On the palate juicy and lively, delicate nougat, fine tannins. Long lasting on the finish. Grape varieties: 50% Blaufränkisch, 25% Zweigelt, 10% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aging: 30 months aging in new French barriques. Soil: loam, loess. Acidity: 5,6 g/l. Residual sugar: 1,2 g/l. Closure: Natural cork. Cellaring potential: 6 years. Drinking temperature: 16-18°C. The red wine is an excellent food companion.
