This whisky is made from Bere barley, one of the oldest Scottish crops, also called "primeval barley". The production of this whiskey is therefore so elaborate and lengthy, because the said Bere barley comes only up to 50% of the yield of other barley varieties. The maturation takes place for 8 years in American oak barrels. Tasting notes:Colour: Light amber. Nose: Floral aromas, coconut, citrus, honey, peaches, pears, caramel. Taste: Peaches, malt, chocolate, caramel, toffee, vanilla, oak. Finish: Long lasting, pear, apples, apricots.
