Ca' dei Frati Grappa di Amarone

The spirit, the essence, the fruit of distillation, from the soft noble marc of the rich grape that gave life to the Amarone, from which it takes the harmony of the aromas and the persuasiveness of the taste.
Soft, encompassing, elegant, and refined with hints of chestnut honey, dried prunes, and licorice, the result of careful, scrupulous distillation. With a full, decisive flavor, just like the grapes from the land of Valpolicella that bring to the distillate the unique properties of softness, elegance, richness, and the concentration from the withering on trays.
A distillation method based on the slow passage at low temperature through copper stills that can transfer everything to the glass that was obtained with so much effort in the vineyard.
For enjoying during an evening with friends, with biscuits and dry fruit, pralines, cooked fruit, especially prunes, stimulating conversations at the end of the meal, and some moments of contemplation.

Varieties of marc: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Croatina
Distillation method: discontinuous
Type of distiller: small copper boilers
Distillation temperature: 110° in water vapor

The Ca' dei Frati company has been renowned since 1782, as confirmed by a document that refers to "a house with a cellar located in Lugana in the Sermion district known as the place of the Friars." In 1939, Felice Dal Cero, son of Domenico, formerly a winegrower in Montecchia di Crosara near Verona, moved to that same house in Lugana di Sirmione, immediately realizing the area's potential for vine cultivation. After thirty years working in the vineyard and the cellar, his son Pietro took part in the creation of the DOC in 1969, bottling his first wine with the label Lugana Casa dei Frati, later named Ca' dei Frati. In 2012, Pietro Dal Cero passed away, leaving the cultural legacy to his wife Santa Rosa and children Igino, Gian Franco, and Anna Maria. They run the company with the same passion and determination.
