The name Compagnie des Indes is derived from the East Indian companies (Great Britain, Holland, France and Portugal). These trading companies travelled to America and India to import various goods into their home country. The brand Compagnie des Indes Rum was founded in 2014 and includes selected blends as well as single cask bottlings from various distilleries. All Single Cask bottlings are neither post-sugared nor coloured with sugar couleur. This rum matured for at least 5 years in ex-Bourbon barrels.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: fresh, fruity, dried fruit. Flavour: spicy, tropical fruit, bananas, notes of caramel, vanilla. Finish: Long lasting, fruity.
