The Dos Maderas 5+3 Years Old Ron Añejo is made from different types of rum made from molasses. The rums for the Dos Maderas come from Barbados and Guyana. The rum matures for the first five years in American oak barrels in the Caribbean until it is shipped to Europe, Spain. Once in Spain, it is transferred to sherry barrels where it is stored for the next and last three years.
