The Douglas Laing Premier Barrel range is probably best described as "old school", and so is the design of the bottle. The Victorian era with its often garish, extravagant, superficial and impressive music halls inspired this ceramic bottle. The Caol Ila 8 Years Old matures for 8 years in a refill hogshead and is neither cold-filtered nor provided with color additives. Distilled: May 2013 Bottled: May 2022 Limited to 406 bottles worldwide. Tasting notes:Color: Straw. Nose: Peaty, slightly salty, barley. Taste: Oily, smoky bacon, toast, salted caramel. Finish: Long lasting, honey.
