Located in Guyana on the tropical north coast of South America, the Demerara distillery has been processing sugar cane since 1670. The premium brand EL DORADO has become a byword for high-quality rum worldwide. El Dorado's blended rums are blended from different vintages or batches as well as from different stills. This rum is a combination of used Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills as well as Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Stills. The 12 years of aging takes place in selected oak barrels. Awards: - Gold Award at Rum-Fest Caribbean Week 2000 and 2001in the Premium Rums category. Tasting notes:Color: amber. Nose: Tropical fruit, spices, hints of honey, dark sugar.
