Located just 90 kilometers north of Chile's capital Santiago, the traditional Aconcagua Valley is the last of the country's transverse valleys. Its basin is formed by the Aconcagua River, which flows from the Andes Mountains into the Pacific Ocean. Its riverbanks are composed of alluvial and colluvial terraces, ideal for growing the best grape varieties. The great telluric beauty of the valley and its mild Mediterranean climate, with a long dry season and rains concentrated mainly in winter, were probably the facts that attracted the attention of Don Maximiano Errazuriz, who founded his winery there 145 years ago with a great vision. The grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon were harvested by hand and fermented in stainless steel tanks. After this fermentation, the grapes went into new French oak barrels for aging 12 months. Tasting notes:Bright ruby red in the glass. On the nose notes of red fruits such as raspberries, cassis and cherries. These are accompanied by dill, bayberries, cloves, tobacco as well as chocolate and a hint of mint. On the palate, a refreshing acidity accompanied by red fruits, chocolate and nuts. Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon. Aging: 12 months in new French oak barrels. Acidity: 5,98 g/l. Residual sugar: 2.53 g/l.
