This gin is made from hand-picked Riesling grapes from the Zilliken winery. These grapes are grown in the slate steep slopes of the great Saarburger Rausch site - hence the name. Master Distiller Andreas Vallender has combined over 30 different botanicals from the vineyards to create a high-quality product from the Saar region. The Cask Strength Edition is bottled at cask strength with 66.6% vol. Tasting notes:Color: Clear. Nose: Powerful, spicy, full, juniper, red pepper, hints of nutmeg. Taste: Soft, creamy, full-bodied, spicy, Riesling, hints of fruit, chamomile, lavender, elderberry. Finish: Long lasting, powerful, juniper, citrus, mint, elderflower.
