The Frescobaldi winery is located in Tuscany, Italy. A family business that has been producing very high quality wines for several generations. In total, the family owns more than 7 wineries in Tuscany. Besides the famous Castello Nippozzano and Tenuta Castiglioni, Castello Pomino, Rèmole, Tenuta Perano, Castel Giocondo and Tenuta Ammiraglia also belonged to the family estate. Historic wine from estate Castello Nipozzano, located 35 km northeast of Florence. It is the traditional wine from Tuscany: versatile with a clear terroir character. Tasting notes:Nipozzano 2018 shines in a clean purple red. The nose is intense and complex. Initially, there are clear floral aromas and red berries such as raspberry, blackberry and blueberry, followed by toasted and spicy notes such as tea, nutmeg and coffee. In the mouth it reveals itself to be warm, soft and wonderfully fresh, as well as elegant and engaging. Its delicate tannins are well integrated into the structure. The finish is long and persistent. Grape varieties: Sangiovese, authorised complementary varieties (Malvasia nera, Colorino, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon). Soil: sandstone. Fermentation: stainless steel tank. Drinking temperature: 15-18°C. Aging: barriques. This wine is excellent with grilled red meat as well as roast lamb and cheese.
