The Gaja wine company is one of the most famous in the world. In 1859 the winery in Barbaresco was founded by Giovanni Gaja. Giovanni Gaja was the great-grandfather of the current owner, Angelo Gaja. About 300.000 bottles of wine are produced annually and the vineyard covers 92 hectares. Very long lasting and harmonious finish. Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo. Vinification: Barrique and large wooden barrel. Closure: Natural cork. Storage potential: Until 2040 and longer. Drinking temperature: 18-20°C. The red wine goes very well with hearty dishes like pasta and pizza.
