The water used to make the rum is not fed from underground aquifers, but through a proprietary mountain water collection system, returning only clean water to the land after use. The longer fermentation is done with natural yeasts. Hampden Estate is one of the last distilleries still producing its rums in batches; it currently has four operational stills. Hampden rums are produced, aged and bottled without any additives, added sugar, tannins, caramel or glycerine. Rum Fire is a pure Jamaican single rum, with an ester content of 300 to 500 grams and thus belongs to the LROK category. The basis is the molasses used, and the distillation in the pot still deepens the tropical aromas even further, resulting in an amazingly intense overproof rum.Tasting notes:Colour: Clear.
