The Highland Park distillery was founded by Magnus Eunson in 1798. Today The Edrington Group is the owner of the distillery. It is the northernmost whisky distillery in Scotland and is located in Kirkwall on the Orkney Island mainland. The distillery buildings of Highland Park are listed in the Scottish Heritage Lists and produce around 2.5 million litres of whisky annually. The Highland Park distillery has taken its inspiration for its new range of products from the animal kingdom, so each bottling has its own taste profile. Loyalty of the Wolf reflects the character of the wolf; perfectly balanced with an enormous affinity. The maturing process takes place in a combination of American oak and ex-Bourbon barrels.
