Leo Hillinger took over the winery from his father in 1990. Since the handover he has constantly developed his business. Today the Hillinger wine is internationally known. In the nose pleasant fruit, blackberries, raspberries and ripe cherries. There are also aromas of cloves, black pepper and smoked meat. On the palate again very fruity with fine roasted aromas and a well integrated acidity. Long lasting and compact on the finish. Grape varieties: 60% Syrah, 10% Merlot, 30% Zweigelt. Vinification: Barrique. Residual sugar: 7,6 g/l. Acidity: 5,8 g/l. Serving temperature: 16 °C. Drinking temperature: 12-14 °C. Storage potential: 6-8 years. This wine goes very well with fillet of beef, veal roulade, steak and cheese.
