"Hogshead" is a large cask, with a capacity of 225 litres. Why the name is composed of "hog's" and "head" is unknown. But since "hog" also means pig, a pig is appropriately depicted on the label. This whisky is a blend of a variety of different malts most of them are from Islay to achieve a peaty character.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: Salty, smoke, vanilla. Taste: Intense, smoky.
