The upheavals at the beginning of the 20th century and especially the First World War, which destroyed half of the Domaine Louis Roederer, prompted Léon Olry Roederer to rebuild his vineyard.
He decided to buy grapes to ensure the continued existence of the house in these times of crisis. At the same time, he created a wine from several vintages with a constant taste, regardless of the year of harvest - today's Brut Premier.

The Brut Premier consists of approximately 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier.
It brings together the wines of the three Champagne grape varieties matured in oak barrels, which come from different crus selected by Louis Roederer.
It is matured for three years in the cellar and at least six months after the dégorgement.

The freshness, delicacy and cheerfulness of Brut Premier are an invitation to celebrate. Its structured framework, its richness and length are absolutely vinous. Tasting notes:

Bright golden yellow with brilliant reflections and fine bubbles in the glass. A bouquet of delicately spicy scents of peaches, apples, grapefruits and an elegant lively acidity.
On the palate fine roasted aromas with hints of stone fruit, orange peel, spices. The finish is long and persistent with a fresh structured character and hints of lemon and dried fruit.
