The company Mazzetti D'Altavilla was founded in 1846 by Filippo Mazzetti in Monferrato. Today, the family business is run by the sixth generation. The grappa is made from marc. Pomace is produced during the wine making process and is the residue left over from pressed fruit. It took many years until people recognized the value of pomace and distilled high-quality grappas from it. Tasting notes:Colour: Clear. Nose: Soft, balanced, vanilla.
