The Maison Ruinart was founded in 1729 as the first champagne house ever. It owes its creation to the intuition of a monk, Dom Thierry Ruinart (1657-1709), who was far ahead of his time. The Chardonnay grape variety is fundamental to the Maison Ruinart. The grapes come mainly from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. The history of Ruinart Rosé, the very first rosé champagne, goes back to the 18th century. While Ruinart Rosé Champagne first came onto the market more than 250 years ago, its outstanding quality remains the essential characteristic of the production of this delicate wine to this day. Its speciality lies in the unique balance of the blend of Chardonnay, Runiart's characteristic grape variety, and Pinot Noir, which is vinified as a red wine. Ruinart Rosé owes its elegant sensuality to the blend of Chardonnay (45% Premiers Crus Chardonnay predominant from the Côte des Blancs) and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and the Marne Valley, which is vinified as red wine.Tasting notes:Delicate garnet pink colour with very light orange reflections. Lively light pearls with a steady rise. Delicate and fresh on the nose, with an original palette of exotic fruits, such as guaiaves, lychees, and red fruits such as, raspberries, cherries, wild strawberries. A bouquet of roses and pomegranates complete the complex and intense profile. The palate is full-bodied with a soft fizz with aromas of freshly picked red fruits. This harmonious balance is underlined by a wonderful freshness and a hint of mint and pink grapefruit. This rosé champagne enhances dishes with ham (San Daniele, Parma), salmon dishes, but also roasted veal fillet (roasted at low temperature). Grape varieties: 45% Chardonnay, 55% Pinot Noir
