Andrew and Brian Symington founded the independent bottler, Signatory Vintage, in 1988. In 2002, Signatory Vintage was enlarged with the acquisition of the Edradour distillery. New Zealanders and British friends have floated the Gulf of Corryvreckan, between the Scottish islands of Jura and Scarba. This Islay whisky rests for about 45 minutes at the height of the tide of the Corryvreckan. It matures for 7 years in Dechar/Rechar Hogsheads casks and is bottled with its natural coloring and is not chill-filtered.
