SILD CRANNOG Single Malt Whisky is made from barley from the island of Sylt in Germany. It is stored in small wooden barrels on the cutter "The Angel's Share" which is located in the harbour of List. Since the cutter is constantly kept in motion by the waves, the whisky acquires a special variety of aromas. The salty sea air and the oak barrels shape the expressive character of the whisky. The ship "The Angel's Share" was built in 1946 and is located in the harbour of List on Sylt. The Master Distiller Hans Kemenater named the whisky after the historical name of the island Sylt.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: smoke, leather, vanilla, toffee, peat, fruity notes, apricot, honeydew melon. Taste: Creamy, round, sweetish, salty, spicy, curing salt, iodine. Finish: Long lasting, complex.
