Since 1999 the Slyrs distillery has been producing the first and only Upper Bavarian single malt whisky using the classic rough- and fine brandy method. From barley malt and mountain spring water stored in new oak barrels with 225 litre capacity, a vintage spirit is produced, which is only filled in a limited number of bottles. The name "Slyrs" is a pseudo-Gaelic corruption of "Schliersee". The Slyrs Bavarian Single Malt Whisky Sauternes Finish matures for 3 years in new American white oak casks and then receives a finish in Sauternes casks for over 14 months.Tasting notes:Colour: honey yellow.
