The Speyside distillery was officially founded in 1976 by George Christie. After that the distillery changed hands several times, when Harveys of Edinburgh took over the distillery he changed the name of its single malts to 'Spey'. The Spey TRUTINÃ was released simultaneously with the Spey FUMÃRE. The whisky matures in ex-bourbon casks before bottling. The name 'Trutina' comes from the Latin and means 'balance'. Limited to 18,000 bottles!Tasting notes:Colour: Bright amber. Nose: chocolate, cheesecake, candied oranges. Taste: sandwiches, almonds, fruit blossoms. Finish: Long lasting, light and sweetish.
