Angostura 1919 is not only one of the best from Angostura, but belongs to the top class in the wide world of rums. It is a velvety soft, fully aromatic rum, which reminds of a special event: In 1932, a fire destroyed the headquarters of the Caribbean Rum Association. Not much remains of the building, only a few charred barrels. The master distiller of Angostura Fernandez acquired these - unaware that they were still full and filled with the best rum of 1919. The rum was then carefully blended and named Aged Rum in 1919.
