Only sugar cane from southern Louisiana is used in the production of Bayou Rum. The sugar cane is pressed in the oldest mill in the USA. The molasses is distilled in Copper Pot Stills and aged mainly in bourbon barrels, in the Solera process. The limited edition Bayou Single Barrel Batch No. 2 is aged for 3 years in California red wine casks. This storage leads to a rich, fruity as well as full-bodied rum. Tasting notes:Color: amber.
