In 1824 the Cameronbridge Distillery was founded by John Haig. About 53 years later 5 other whisky distilleries merged with the Cameronbridge Distillery and founded the Distiller-Gesellschaft AG (DCL). The first distillery which produced grain whisky was the one of John Haig. Today the company is part of the Diageo Group.
This Cameron is very rare. It is made from the finest grain and pure water from the Lowlands. Very elaborate, yet carefully produced. Afterwards he spends some time in selected oak barrels.
Nose: Fruity, spicy, notes of dried hay.
Taste: Soft, sweetish, balanced, fruit, caramel, toffee.
Finish: Long lasting, citrus fruit, notes of oak wood.
This whisky is perfect for cocktails and long drinks. But also pure or "on the rocks" it tastes fantastic.
