Antonio Benedetto Carpano created the world's first bitter aperitif in 1786 by adding an extract of over 50 hearty herbs and spices to high-quality Italian wines - Antica Formula. The original Antica Formula has now been reissued in limited quantities. Special features are the historical design of the mouth-blown bottle, the original label and the traditional cork closure with red seal. A bottle number on each label underlines the strictly limited quantity of Antica Formula.
