Over 21 rigorously selected and exotic herbs, are steeped in alcohol for five to seven days in oversized tea bags. Distillation takes place at the Logis d'Angeac estate in the Cognac region, using Charentais pot stills. After a quadruple distillation, Citadelle Réserve Gin is aged in selected wooden barrels made of acacia, chestnut, mulberry, wild cherry and French oak. After a storage of 5 months, the cuvée rests in a large wooden barrel for a few weeks before bottling. Botanicals: juniper, coriander, iris, cubeb pepper, almonds, cassia, fennel, liquorice, star anise, savory, lemon peel, nutmeg, orange peel, angelica, cardamom, cumin, violet, cinnamon, grains of paradise, blueberries, yuzu, génépi. Tasting notes:Color: Light gold. Nose: Fresh, spicy, notes of white flowers, white pepper, chalk, capers, citrus. Taste: Candied citrus, vanilla, flowers, cinnamon, wood. Finish: Long lasting.
