The Highland Park distillery was founded by Magnus Eunson in 1798. Today The Edrington Group is the owner of the distillery. It is the northernmost whisky distillery in Scotland and is located in Kirkwall on the Orkney Island mainland. The distillery buildings of Highland Park are listed in the Scottish Heritage Lists and produce around 2.5 million litres of whisky annually. The Viking Honour is intended to reflect the unique culture of the island and its native Orkney. Orkney, is a part of Scotland, but even more it is part of a huge Viking kingdom.
