This rum takes its name from a sailing ship called 'Kirk and Sweeney' which was used in the early days of prohibition as a rum smuggling ship between the Caribbean and the Northeast of the USA. On the bottle is an imprint of the ships' usual smuggling routes. This limited release from Kirk & Sweeney is a true Dominican rum.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: sweetish, dried fruit, oak, caramel, toffee. Taste: Toasted oak wood, vanilla, raisins, sherry, spices, sweet dried fruit. Finish: Long lasting, warm and robust. The rum is recommended pure, or as a mixed drink for an exclusive cocktail.
