The rum is made in the small town of Remedios, in the heart of Cuba. The small colonial town is the third oldest city in Cuba.
The founding of the Destilería Heriberto Duquesne took place in 1956. Since 2017, the rum has also been sold beyond national borders again.
Due to the harmony with nature and the climatic conditions, the sugar cane matures first-class.
No additional caramel color is added to the rum. The distillery attaches great importance to purity and quality in production.
The aging takes place in American white oak barrels for 25 years.
