Bracklas was the first Scottish distillery to be granted royal status, an honour bestowed upon the distillery by King William IV in 1833. In 2015, three new Royal Brackla single malts were launched. These are considered part of the last great malts from John Dewar & Sons. This Royal Brackla matures for 21 years in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. Tasting notes:Colour: amber. Nose: aromas of berries, gooseberries, vanilla notes. Taste: Complex notes, dark spices, chocolate. Finish: Long lasting, chocolate and cocoa notes.
