The Dalmore distillery was founded in 1839 and is located on the Cromarty Firth coast in the northern Highlands. Dalmore uses the water from the river Alness, which flows through the small town of the same name. The Dalmore Cigar Malt is made up of 10-15 year old malts that are matured in ex-bourbon casks, American white oak casks, Matusalem Oloroso Sherrry Butts and Bodega Gonzalez Byass. Through the post-maturation in Premier Cru Cabernet Sauvignon Barrique wine casks, this Scotch Whisky gets its distinctive character, which can be perfectly complemented with a good cigar.
