The noble distillates from Ziegler have been around for 150 years. For the whiskies, barley is malted by a very old private brewery from the region and then the mash is produced according to the specifications of the Ziegler distillery. Afterwards a distillation in the double distillation process takes place. In the region of Lower Franconia there is a Mediterranean microclimate, which influences the style of the whisky especially. The main maturation takes place in new oak and chestnut casks from France, which are lightly toasted. The post-maturing takes place in old ex-Bourbon barrels.
