The Sylvius Gin is distilled, macerated, bottled and labelled by a small team under the supervision of Master Distiller Justus Walop at the distillery in Schiedam.
The name of this gin comes from the physician Dr. Franciscus Sylvius, who developed a medicine from an elixir with juniper berries against gastro-intestinal complaints.
The grain used is traditionally ground in a windmill and after 4 weeks of maceration, lavender and star anise are added separately and the gin is bottled.

Nose: Mild, fruity.
Taste: Juniper, citrus, hints of spices.
Finish: Long lasting.
