For the inspiration of Master Blender's Reserve 2022, the historic rums from the Black Tot collection and their unique flavor profile that they exhibited over half a century ago were used. These rums, no longer known in the rum world, were rich with notes of baked banana, dusty chocolate, mocha milkshakes, honey, tobacco, leather, licorice and spice. These flavors were mapped and became the guiding Black Tots. Master Blender's Reserve 2021, aged in sherry casks since the last Black Tot Day, forms the basis for the 2022 bottling. A unique blend from four countries, is married with the eternal reserve Black Tots and perfectly balanced to present itself as Master Blender's Reserve 2022. Tasting notes:Color: Gold. Nose: Melted chocolate nibs, toasted hazelnuts, warm oranges, cinnamon sticks, hints of tropical juices, cassis, black currants, raspberries. Taste: notes of milk chocolate, raisins, latte, ripe bananas, hints of anise, tropical fruits, rich demerara sugar, caramel cream. Finish: Long lasting, cinnamon, nutmeg, chili, cocoa.
