The name Compagnie des Indes derives from the East Indian companies (Great Britain, Holland, France and Portugal). These trading companies travelled to America and India to import various goods into their home country.
The Compagnie des Indes Rum brand was founded in 2014 and includes selected blends as well as single cask bottlings from various distilleries.
The 9th bottling of the Boulet de Canon series was produced in collaboration with the French restaurant Melt Paris.
The special thing about this rum is the production process or the so-called "fat washing". In this process, the spirit is flavoured using fat.
In this case, high-quality BBQ meat is used and gives the rum a spicy, very smoky and exciting note.
