The Highland Park FIRE Edition is a 15 year special edition limited to 28,000 bottles worldwide. The whisky is matured in refilled Port Casks. The Fire Edition of Highland Park explores the destruction and rebirth of Nordic mythologies. The legends and mythologies come from poems known as Poetic Edda. Muspelheim, also known as Muspell, was one of the nine worlds of the Nordic mythologies. This world was hot and fiery, a place where strangers could not survive. It is said that the sun and stars came from this world. According to the legend, Surtr, also known as the Black One, was an evil giant who ruled over the Fire Kingdom. He was said to have defended his kingdom with a burning sword hotter than the sun. This edition is the continuation of the Highland Park ICE. The two-part series of Highland Park is thus complete.Tasting notes:Colour: Natural, with red reflections.
