It all began when Alois Gölles, the father of David Gölles, designed the chocolate spirit in collaboration with Josef Zotter. From that day on, the family started producing rum. The son, David Gölles, then founded the Ruotker's company in Riegersburg, in Styria. Today, Ruotker's offers high-quality whiskies, rums and gins. The Ron Johan brand is not only dedicated to the Archduke Johann (Johan), but also to the Caribbean (Ron). The special thing about "Ron Johan Rum Dark" is that it is distilled in Styria. The distiller gets the molasses from Brazil, Paraguay or the Dominican Republic. On the bottle you can see the pirate Black Beard and the Austrian Archduke Johann. The storage of the White Rum takes place in stainless steel tanks. It is free of any colouring and flavouring substances. Distilled: 2018 Tasting notes:Colour: Clear. Nose: Tropical fruit.
