The name "Lagavulin" is Gaelic and means "the hollow in which the mill stands". The Lagavulin distillery nestles in a small bay on the south-east coast of Islay and produces complex whiskies in pear-shaped stills, the copper stills. This Lagavulin whisky was produced in collaboration with the American actor Nick Offerman. Offerman not only provided his name but was also involved in the presentation of the bottle. The Offerman whisky matures in the ex-bourbon cask and reflects the peaty notes typical of Lagavulin whiskies.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: fresh seaweed, citrus, apricots, peat smoke.
